Gray-pink interior. Apartment in St. Petersburg in neoclassical style
An interior in gray tones may seem gloomy and dull to someone, while an interior in pink tones is cloyingly sweet and frivolous. The duet of pink and gray neutralizes unnecessary effects of perception of each color separately and enhances the necessary ones. The main thing is to choose the right colors: pearl, smoky and pastel. Want to see how cool these colors work together? Then get acquainted with the new project by the Mossebo studio. This is a three-room apartment of 100.4 m² in St. Petersburg on the Slavic street.
Gray-pink living room
The customers of this project – Eugene and Maria – are a family with two small children and currently are waiting for the third one. The eldest is called Kirill, he is 9 years old, the youngest, Misha, will soon be 1.5 years old. The family purchased the apartment under a shared construction agreement and will celebrate a housewarming in the first quarter of 2020. To decorate the future family nest, Evgeny and Maria chose modern classics in light gray tones with an accent pink color, but we chose instead of a pure pink shade the color of a dusty rose. Due to the heterogeneity of the texture of the material, it was possible to create a smoky effect in order to further unite the interior palette.
Gray-pink bedroom
A bedroom in light pink accents is a too obvious decision – we used a rich, dense shade of dusty pink, framing it with the same pearl gray furniture in the same classic style as the kitchen facades. It was possible to maintain the proportions of color by increasing the saturation of gray in textiles. In this way, the combination of the main tones remains balanced.
Guest room design
One of the customers’s wishes – was to change the space-planning solution of the apartment with the creation of an additional room – a guest room with a TV, which could then be converted into a nursery. So a three-room apartment turned into a four-room one.
Cabinet on the balcony
As business people themselves, customers have long dreamed of a comfortable office. Since all the space in the house was occupied by the active life of all family members, and much space was not required to implement the office, we decided to use the balcony.
Children’s room for a boy
Pink is not as versatile as gray, and the nursery for a boy is just the place where it is better for it not to appear, so we took a gray-milky scale and shifted the emphasis to print.
Gray and white bathroom
The gray-white range itself looks rather cold, so we chose a warmer shade of wood as its companion. A brown color becomes an accent, against the background of the basic monochrome.

Success.
